Contemporary Abstract Artist My style of painting is influenced by my favourite abstract artists Wassliy Kandinsky and Yvonne Audette.

I have an affinity with the outback, and currently I am working on a series of paintings depicting my view of the area. I use bold colors and shapes to convey how I see the landscape.
I lived in Darwin for twelve months in 1995 and  drove home to Victoria through the Simpson desert and visited Alice Springs.  I returned to Alice in 2008 and this time made sure I took plenty of photos for reference for paintings. What I love most about the outback is the serenity and calm we can experience from visiting places like Kakadu, Palm Valley, Standley Chasm, the Ochre Pitts and the culture. I have not even finished painting all the places and photos I took. Glen Helen Gorge also captivated me. The Ochre Pitts are amazing I love earthy colors but the palette of the outback does not just include reds, brown and ochres, there is a rainbow of color 

Through my work I wish to communicate my deepest feelings about life in a subtle and almost camoflaged effect. I believe if the viewer is tuned into the painting the philosophy behind it will be recognised.I use painting as thinking time and whatever is happening in life at that time is locked into each individual work. When I look at my work later, feelings are triggered; the paintings represent a diary to me.
